After reviewing literally hundreds of UX/UI portfolios I started to notice some patterns. There are five distinct UI levels, or skill levels and only being above 4 will result in getting a UI design job. Watch the video to find out which skill level are you and what to focus on to progress to the next level faster. Of course it's all in the details! Become a great UX/UI designer, whether you use Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or any other tool, it's not just the tutorials, but rather the right approach - focusing on the right things and the right learning sources. 🚨 This is based on my own experiences with over a 1000 junior designers and their portfolios, tracking which ones later got an industry job and which ones didn't. ☝️ IMPORTANT: The screens shown as these examples are only focusing on LOOKS, not the UX because the product doesn't exist. If someone tells you recruiters will analyse the UX and how it makes sense of a fake, made-up product in a junior portfolio then sorry - 90% of the time ONLY UI matters. When you get your first job you'll get wireframes and instructions to deliver the proper structure. This is just to show UI-skill differences. So... Yes, I believe you can be a level five designer. Do you? 🚨 🚨 🚨 The platform is live at 🤍y ☝️ Watch next and be awesome! Together - you and me - are going to learn everything you need to get started working as a UX Designer using Figma. We’ll use this UI UX design tool to create beautiful User Interfaces and engaging prototypes. Most importantly... we'll cover the client expectations of you as a new UX designer. This course is aimed at people new to design, new to User Experience design. Even if you’re not totally sure what UX really means, don’t worry. We’ll start right at the beginning and work our way through step by step. • First we’ll describe the brief & how to work with a UX persona. • Then you’ll learn how to create simple wireframes. • From there we’ll look at how to implement colours & images properly in your designs. • You’ll learn the do’s & don’ts around choosing fonts for web & mobile apps. • You’ll learn how to create your own icons, buttons & other UI components. • You’ll learn some pretty scary terms such as Components, Constraints & Multi Dimensional Variants. They are all really easy to understand once you know how. • We’ll also make our lives easier by using free UI kits & plugins for Figma which will speed up our workflow dramatically! • We’ll build a simple Style Guide ready for client handoff. • You’ll understand how to make both simple & advanced micro interactions, page transitions & animations • Before the end of this course you will have made fully interactive prototypes • You will take a project all the way through - collaborating with other team members and exporting the right files ready to hand off to your developer or software engineer. We’ll be focusing on the software Figma but I’ll make sure to explain the techniques & terms used in the UX and how real world projects are run. You will develop a great understanding of the industry and will be able to manage your own UX projects. I will be setting assignments through the course which will help develop your skills and enable you to create something special and unique for your own portfolio. Alright - it's time to upgrade yourself & go from Figma Zero to Figma Hero. #Figma #UXDesign #FigmaTutorial

Onboarding and Sign-up screens are one of the most popular examples of UI Design that most UI and UX designers use to showcase their skills. That is especially true for novice designers, because it is relatively fast and doesn't require a lot of work. But, it's really hard to stand out with those designs because onboarding and sign-up screens are the most overused way to showcase UI and UX design skills. Especially at services like Dribbble where you can see them everywhere. Today I've selected for you 4 examples of mobile app design screens from that category, prepared by novice and more experienced UI and UX designers with the intention of improving them. 🌈 Introducing a new color into a UI is more than just making sure the color looks good on the screen. 💻 You need to think about whether it matches the system. 🔍 🎨 Let’s say you’re using it for a button. . 🤔 You need to understand where the button will be used and whether the color makes sense in all those places. 🔍 💭 So, when introducing a new color, don’t just think about one particular screen. 📱 Consider all the places and use cases of the UI element you’re using the color for. 🤔 🖌️ Once you’ve considered all these factors, you can bring the new color into the UI design system. 💡 👩🎨 This is how experienced UX designers introduce new colors into a UI. 🙌 #uxanudeep #studentforlife #designthinking #uxdesign #uidesign

Are you following these tips? ✅ Avoid using pure black or pure white - This color combo can cause the user’s eyes to work harder to adapt to the brightness. ✅ Avoid visual vibration - Use less saturated colors, since saturated colors can impact the legibility of your design. ✅ Use the right contrast validation. - Text with low contrast can be almost invisible and can ruin usability. ✅ Allow the user to switch themes - Some users still prefer to have light mode on their devices. 💎 For more #webdesign & #development resources: ➢ Visit Creative Tim Courses: 🤍 ➢ Visit our website: 🤍 ➢ Visit our blog: 🤍 ➢ Subscribe to our channel: 🤍youtube.com/channel/UCVyTG4sCw-rOvB9oHkzZD1w ➢ 𝗡𝗘𝗪 | The Ultimate UI/UX Design Course - 🤍 #darkmode #shorts
